Ballet des Ameriques (BdA) is a dynamic nonprofit dance company founded in 2011 by director-choreographer Carole Alexis. As a 501(c)3 organization, BdA operates a professional company and a pre-professional conservatory, fostering high-caliber training and performances within a multicultural context. BdA’s repertoire blends classical ballet with African and Afro-Caribbean traditions, reflecting Alexis’s signature choreographic voice that respects heritage while pushing artistic boundaries.

Recognized for artistic excellence, Carole Alexis has been knighted as Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (France) and has received numerous accolades, including proclamations naming BdA as the 'Best Ballet Company' and 'Westchester’s Premier Dance Company.'

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Alexis pioneered the Dancing Caravan—a mobile, self-contained dance theater that delivered performances directly to communities, underscoring BdA’s commitment to accessibility and outreach. Notable venues have included the United Nations Headquarters, Florence Gould Hall, Emelin Theatre, and Tarrytown Music Hall, with BdA Conservatory continuing to train aspiring dancers in Westchester.
