Founded in 1967 by Carlos Moreno Samaniego, Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Carlos Moreno has become a cornerstone of Mexican folk dance in the United States and Mexico. Recognized as an official ambassador for cultural activities with Mexico by the Mexican consulate in San Francisco since 1980, the company brings a rich tapestry of Indigenous, Spanish-influenced, African-influenced, and regional Mexican dances to audiences nationwide.
