Ballet Society is a historic nonprofit organization founded in 1946 by Lincoln Kirstein and George Balanchine in New York City. What started as a subscription-based platform for ballet programming became a catalyst for one of America’s most renowned dance institutions. While Ballet Society itself does not publish a contemporary discography or list current touring dates under this name, its legacy continues through the ongoing education, scholarship, and archival work surrounding Balanchine’s early works and collaborations.
