The live experience

What reaches the room

The Baltimore Symphony String, Concert, and Youth Orchestra (BSYO) is a dynamic program that provides high-level opportunities for young musicians in the Baltimore area. The BSYO comprises four ensembles designed to nurture developing players from middle school through young adulthood: the String Orchestra (SO), Philharmonia Orchestra (PO), Concert Orchestra (CO), and the Youth Orchestra (YO). The YO represents the program’s top ensemble, conducted by Dr. Christopher M. Cicconi, BSYO Principal Conductor and Youth Orchestra Conductor. Rehearsals for the ensembles take place on Sundays at Meyerhoff Symphony Hall or Towson University, providing a steady schedule for training, performance, and growth.
