Bananafishbones hail from Bad Tölz, Bavaria, and formed in 1987, carving a distinct path in the German alternative rock scene with long-running storytelling and English-language songwriting. They blend alt-rock with country and folk influences, creating songs that resonate across generations. The band’s breakthrough came in the late 1990s with hits like Come To Sin (1998) and Easy Day (1999). Come To Sin even found its way into a national advertisement for C&A, boosting recognition beyond the indie circuit. Over the years, Bananafishbones released a series of studio albums from 1995 through 2012, along with live and compilation releases. Their latest studio effort, 12 Songs In One Day (2012), showcases their knack for intimate storytelling and memorable melodies.
