Bandancha’s journey began with a crowdfunded debut album, Última Noticia (2018), which earned Cubadisco awards for First Album and Design and helped launch the group onto the international stage. The project continued with Verano Groove (2020), Light (2022, via Laborie Jazz), and Y (2024, self-released). Highlights include a NPR Tiny Desk Concert in 2018 and standout performances at legendary venues such as Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center. In 2025, Bandancha – led by Yissy García – is scheduled to perform at the South Beach Jazz Festival in Miami Beach, FL on January 12, 2025.
