Baroque & Beyond is a dedicated concert series rooted in historically informed performance, founded in 2008 by Beverly Biggs in the Chapel Hill area. The ensemble emphasizes period instruments and authentic performance practices to bring classical works to life as they would have sounded in their era. Since 2022–23, artistic direction has been led by Stephanie Vial, highlighting curated programs by regional period-instrument players and ensembles like The Polyphonists. While not a recording artist, Baroque & Beyond offers thoughtfully programmed live experiences across North Carolina’s Triangle region.
