Barricada stands as a cornerstone of Spanish rock, born in the streets of Pamplona (Iruñea) in 1982. The band fused hard rock, heavy metal, and punk to create a sound that defined rocanrol across the 80s, 90s, and into the new millennium. With El Drogas (Enrique Villarreal), Boni (Javier Herng rock acts, earning a Disco de Diamante in 2007 for career sales. The group paused activity in 2013 after farewell shows in Pamplona; Boni passed away in 2021. Although Barricada as a band has not toured since, individual members, including Alfredo Piedrafita, pursued solo projects and performances in 2025.
