Originally staged as a world-premier reading in Scandinavia House, New York, in November 2012 as part of SATC’s Contemporary Reading Series for Strindberg’s centennial, Bastards of Strindberg went on to Off-Broadway success at Theatre Row (Lion Theatre) in September 2014. The show has since remained a reference point for contemporary theatre that engages with classic frameworks through fresh voices and interdisciplinary collaboration.
