Their debut CD Maracaípe (Tonar Music) earned a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Classical Composition in 2010. The follow-up Bach to Tan Dun (Tonar Music, 2011) features Tan Dun’s Eight Memories in Watercolor in the world premiere arrangement for two guitars. The trio recording China West with Manuel Barrueco arrived in 2014, and Clair de Lune: French Music for Two Guitars was released in December 2023. Meng Su received the 2022 Mary Sawyers Baker Prize for music, highlighting the duo’s artistic impact and commitment to education through artist-residence programs such as San Francisco Performances. For 2025–2026, the Beijing Guitar Duo has a busy touring schedule across the U.S. and Europe, with a 12-city U.S. tour in early 2025 and additional appearances through the 2025–2026 season.
