Born from the late-90s underground scene, Bella Morte delivers a signature blend of gothic rock, dark wave, and industrial influences that keeps fans returning for moody melodies and driving rhythms. Formed in Charlottesville, Virginia in 1996, they quickly carved a niche with atmospheric guitars, lyrical storytelling, and a relentless work ethic. In 2002, they signed to Metropolis Records, following a series of self-released works that built their dedicated following. Their 2006 release, Bleed The Grey Sky Black, surged to No. 1 on Metropolis pre-order sales prior to release, marking a high-water mark of their early career. The band earned a major early milestone by winning the Virginia Battle of the Bands in 1997, which funded their first full-length album, Remains.
