Ben Melsky earned a Doctorate of Musical Arts from Northwestern University and has served as principal harpist for the Joffrey Ballet since 2011. He has performed with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Grant Park Music Festival, and the Chicago Opera Theater, among others. In addition to his performing career, Ben is a driving force behind Ensemble Dal Niente, which champions adventurous new works and collaborates with living composers to premiere fresh pieces.
