Bending Towards The Light: A Jazz Nativity was conceived by a composer/arranger renowned for weaving jazz language into Christmas narrative. Since its 1985 premiere, the project has become a fixture in the jazz and theatre communities, celebrated for its inventive arrangements and collaborative spirit. The founding of Kindred Spirits (a 501(c)(3)) reflects a commitment to community and artistic collaboration, helping broaden the reach of this unique jazz nativity tradition.
