The Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra (BCSO) brings together outstanding Berklee College of Music students, alumni, and faculty to perform a diverse repertoire that spans classical masterworks, contemporary Berklee commissions, and multimedia scores. Founded in 2007, the orchestra typically operates with 80–96 players drawn from across Berklee programs, delivering high-caliber performances that resonate with students and concertgoers alike. Under the artistic direction of Julius P. Williams since 2017, and with managing director Jamie Davis-Ponce, the ensemble has established itself as a premier voice in contemporary classical music and cinematic scoring at major Boston-area venues.
