Beyond Baroque Tickets

Beyond Baroque is a California literary institution founded in 1968 by George Drury Smith. Located at 681 N Venice Blvd, Venice, CA 90291, the venue houses the Scott Wannberg Bookstore and Poetry Lounge, a gallery, and a theater space dedicated to readings and performances. The center nurtures poetry, literature, and film through dynamic events, workshops, and collaborations with artists, writers, and filmmakers.

Under the leadership of Interim Executive Director Jimmy Vega, Beyond Baroque continues its mission to connect readers with bold voices and innovative forms. The venue regularly hosts in-person events with livestream options, maintaining accessibility for audiences near and far.

Upcoming program highlights include the 2025–26 season featuring Víctor Mortales: Language is a Place (Jan 17–Mar 7, 2026) and the International Poetry Film Festival in April 2026.
