Big Frank Mirra cut his teeth in the NYC tri-state blues circuit, sharing stages with legendary acts like Little Charlie & The Nightcats, Bo Diddley Jr., and Black Joe Lewis. His discography spans from the vintage warmth of Vintage 1040 (2005) and the 1999 EP Big Shot to more recent collaborations such as the 2023 duo album Outskirts of Town with Mike Smith on JoJo Honey Records. The duo album, recorded January 23–24, 2023, marks a notable chapter in their ongoing collaboration and live performance energy.
