Bill Myers is a respected performer, educator, and longtime bandleader based in Wilson, North Carolina. Co-founding The Monitors in 1957 with Cleveland Flowe, Myers helped shape a distinctive sound that blends R&B, jazz, and funk. As a Music Director and educator at St. John AME Zion Church in Wilson, he has influenced generations of musicians and community members through performance and mentorship. His career spans traditional regional performances to notable appearances on national stages, including the Smithsonian Folklife Festival with The Monitors around 2011.
