Founded in 1984 by Lu Vason, Bill Pickett Rodeo (BPIR) is the longest-running traveling Black rodeo in the United States. Led by Valeria Vason-Cunningham, BPIR brings competitive rodeo action together with cultural programming, family-friendly experiences, and scholarship opportunities. The tour visits major venues across the country, with Fort Worth, Texas as a core hub at Cowtown Coliseum.
