Black Devil Disco Club (BD/DC) is a cornerstone of space- and Italo-disco-influenced electronic music, blending vintage synths with surreal vocals and cinematic atmospheres. Originating from the 1978 Disco Club EP, issued in France by RCA Victor and in Italy by OUT Records, this project grew into a modern-era act after a revival in 2006 on Lo Recordings. Over the years, BD/DC has collaborated with a remarkable roster, from Nancy Sinatra to Afrika Bambaataa and The Horrors’ Faris Badwan, expanding its mythic reach while staying true to its hypnotic, otherworldly sound. In recent years, Lucifer Is A Flower (2020) was billed as the final BD/DC album, with Etincelles (2023) continuing the legacy with fresh material. Here’s a concise look at the artist, key releases, and upcoming live opportunities.
