Randell Adjei, named Ontario's first Poet Laureate in 2021, holds a prominent platform for Black Canadian poetry within the provincial and national arts scenes. Dwayne Morgan is a two-time Canadian National Poetry Slam Champion, with a prolific body of spoken-word albums and performances dating back to the early 2000s. Faduma Mohamed contributes a Somali-Canadian voice as an educator and performer, known for theatre work and community impact.
