Black Legacy Project Tickets

Black Legacy Project (BLP) is a dynamic performer-driven project produced by Music in Common, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through the power of music. Since 2021, BLP has toured with a multi-community residency model that brings together artists from diverse backgrounds to create, perform, and share stories across the United States. CNN has highlighted the project through Champions for Change, recognizing its impact and reach.

BLP’s Vol. 1, released in September 2023, features 12 songs—8 reimagined covers and 4 originals—capturing a rich tapestry of voices and styles from across the U.S. Regions represented in Vol. 1 include cross-community collaborations that laid the groundwork for Vol. 2. In August 2025, Vol. 2 expanded the format with 12 tracks written or reimagined by artists from seven communities, including the Mississippi Delta, Boise, Atlanta, and the Berkshires. The first single from Vol. 2, It’s About More (2025), signals the continued commitment to stories and partnerships that resonate beyond genres.

BLP’s ongoing tour for 2025 features stops at Dominican University (IL), Davis (CA), Guthrie Center (MA), and Bendix Theater/South Bend (IN).
