Black Tie Dynasty’s journey began in Fort Worth, Texas in 2004, when they signed with Idol Records. Their early work, including the debut EP This Stays Between Us (2005) and Movements (2006), featured the single Tender, which climbed to No. 8 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Singles Sales chart. After touring with bands like Spoon, Guided By Voices, and VHS or Beta, they released Down Like Anyone in 2008 and announced a hiatus in 2009, playing their final show in 2010 at Granada Theatre in Dallas.
In 2024, the band re-emerged with Steady, their first album in 16 years, marking a new chapter despite the loss of drummer Eddie Thomas in 2021. The 2025 tour brings Black Tie Dynasty back to Texas stages, including Tulips FTW in Fort Worth on September 5 and Ruins in Deep Ellum, Dallas on October 25.
