Black Tusk, formed in 2005 in Savannah, Georgia, helped define swamp metal—a raw blend of sludge, punk, and southern grit. Over the years they’ve carved a name for themselves with ferocious live shows, relentless riffs, and a steadfast DIY ethic. From their Relapse Records debut Taste the Sin to later albums like Set the Dial (2011), Pillars of Ash (2016), and T.C.B.T. (2018), the band has built a loyal following by staying true to their heavy, hook-driven sound.
