Blue Plains is a DC-area indie rock project formed circa 2015, rooted in the Hyattsville/DC scene. Recording at the iconic Inner Ear Studios with producer Don Zientara, the band released the Blue Plains EP in 2017 and the full-length Falling Sky in 2018. Known for their thoughtful lyrics and collaborative sound, Blue Plains blends social and environmental themes with robust guitar, violin, and rhythm sections. The current lineup features Lee Cain (vocals/guitar/cavaquinho), Adam Ortiz (vocals/guitar), Pete Daniels (violin), Brandon Miller (bass), and Joe Hodgson (drums). Their album release show at DC’s Black Cat received local press attention, helping cement their place in the regional scene. While there may not be publicized 2025 tour dates at this moment, fans can stay tuned for future announcements and secure tickets through trusted channels.
