Bombay Bellywood emerged from the Bellydance Superstars (BDSS), a company founded by Miles Copeland in 2002 that elevated fusion dance across international stages. A highlight of the BDSS era was a 75‑stop US tour during the 2010–2011 season, blending Bollywood and bhangra with traditional bellydance to create high‑energy, visually striking performances. Bombay Bellywood’s presence helped bring Indian dance styles to diverse audiences, with notable stops at major venues like the Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA, and The Egg in Albany, NY.
