Bonnie Rideout is a celebrated Scottish fiddler and composer whose artistry blends traditional Celtic roots with refined spellbinding performances. A three-time U.S. National Scottish fiddle champion, she has represented Scottish fiddle at the Edinburgh International Festival and earned praise from NPR and The Washington Post for her distinctive playing style. Rideout’s signature album, A Scottish Christmas (1996), was named a New York Times Top Ten Holiday Best Seller, introducing audiences to a warm, festive repertoire that remains influential in Celtic Christmas music. Through her own Tulloch Music, Ltd. label and releases with Maggie’s Music, Rideout has built a catalog acclaimed by critics and fans alike. Her latest project, The Cliff Island Sessions (2020) with Chester Pettengill, continues her tradition of intimate, masterful fiddling. While 2025 shows no public Bonnie Rideout tour dates and retirement was noted in 2018, her performances and recordings continue to inspire new listeners with authentic Scottish artistry.
