The Boston Saengerfest Men's Chorus is a cornerstone of the Boston music scene, founded in 1992 as part of the Saengerfest lineage. As one of the area's largest male choruses, this 35-voice, nonauditioned choir brings together singers from across the region for rich, varied programs that blend folk, love songs, spirituals, sacred works, classical excerpts, English and Welsh tunes, and occasional show tunes. Rehearsals are held weekly on Tuesdays from 7:15 to 9:30 PM at the Episcopal Parish of the Good Shepherd, 1671 Beacon St, Waban, MA 02468. The chorus often includes a compere narration in performances, guiding audiences through the program with warmth and context.
