The Botticellis emerged from the San Francisco Bay Area scene, rooted in Santa Cruz connections and a tight-knit lineup that included Alexi Glickman and Zack Ehrlich. Active primarily from 2004 to 2010, this indie pop project blends surf-inflected melodies with chamber-pop textures to create songs that feel both intimate and expansive. Their work earned attention from critics and fans alike for its polished songcraft, understated emotion, and memorable arrangements. Although the band dissolved in 2010, Botticellis' recordings continue to resonate with listeners exploring mid-2000s indie pop archives.

Discography highlights include the self-released debut, The Botticellis (2004), followed by Old Home Movies (2008) on Antenna Farm Records, with a parallel LP release through Rocinante Records.
