BR Trans is a powerful Brazilian drama that centers the trans experience in a vivid, live performance. Directed by Jezebel De Carli and Silvero Pereira, with live music by Rodrigo Apolinário, the 70-minute show blends theater, music, and documentary-style storytelling. Since its original runs in Fortaleza (2013) and Rio de Janeiro (Firjan SESI Jacarepaguá, 2019), BR Trans has grown into a broader project that includes a book and a documentary-style presentation. The film adaptation, BR-Trans the film, was nominated for Best Sound at the Grande Otelo (Cinema Brasileiro) awards, underscoring its impact across film and stage audiences. The production also reached audiences through an online streaming season in 2021 via Firjan Sesi. While there are no public BR Trans tour dates announced for 2025, the legacy of the piece continues to inspire discussions about trans visibility in Brazil and beyond.
