As a member of Tin Bird Choir, he helped bring alt-folk and barn rock sensibilities to the fore, with the group earning recognition as finalists in the Mountain Stage Newsong Contest. In addition to ensemble work, Hinton has released two solo albums—Mourning Dove (2010) and Whippoorwill (2017)—the latter issued through 661349 Records DK. His collaborations with Wissahickon Chicken Shack and Hezekiah Jones further demonstrate his versatility and commitment to meaningful, acoustic storytelling.
