The Bradenton Blues Festival was born in 2012 as a community-driven celebration of the Mississippi and modern blues traditions, launched by Realize Bradenton to spotlight downtown Bradenton and support youth arts programs. Traditionally staged at the Bradenton Riverwalk (Rossi Park area), the festival became a beloved annual weekend of blues, community outreach, and related events. Proceeds supported Realize Bradenton’s Blues in the Schools and other youth, art, and music initiatives. While the original festival permanently canceled after the 2023 edition, the blues legacy in the area evolved with a fresh chapter at Lakewood Ranch, continuing the spirit of community, education, and great live music.
