Brave New Workshop (BNW) is Minnesota’s landmark satire theatre, founded in 1958 by Dudley Riggs. Claiming the title of the oldest ongoing satirical theatre in the United States, BNW has produced over 400 original productions and welcomed more than 3 million attendees. Based in Minneapolis, BNW is renowned for sharp sketch comedy, improvisation, and pointed political and social satire. The company operates primarily from the Dudley Riggs Theatre at 824 Hennepin Avenue, with additional programming at the Experimental Thinking Centre (ETC) for special and off-main-stage events. BNW also runs a training program through the BNW Student Union, helping cultivate the next generation of improvisers and satirists.
