Brel et Barbara is a theatrical-musical interpretation of the iconic French chansons attributed to Barbara and Jacques Brel, realized through the nuanced performances of Yvette Théraulaz and Pascal Schopfer. The production, produced by Compagnie Horizon, weaves song, theatre, and dramaturgy to illuminate the friendship and creative dialogue between these legendary artists. The project features live piano accompaniment by Lee Maddeford and accordion by Christel Sautaux, enriching the French chanson tradition with a contemporary interpretive lens.
