The Bridgetown Sextet has stood at the heart of Portland’s vintage jazz scene since 2008. Founded by Andrew Oliver and Scott Kennedy, this acclaimed ensemble brings the spirit of 1920s–30s jazz, stomp, blues, and swing to life with period-accurate feel and modern energy. Drawing on inspirations from Jelly Roll Morton, Duke Ellington, and Count Basie, the group delivers tight arrangements, hot improvisations, and a sound that’s both authentic and enduring.
