Broken Box MimeTheater is a New York City–based company founded in 2011, known for its inventive contemporary mime and physical theater. With company members across the United States, the troupe uses movement as the primary storytelling tool, complemented by live music and lighting design. The company has earned critical recognition, including the 2014 Innovative Theatre Award for Outstanding Ensemble and a White Pines Residency (CUNY Dance Initiative). Their productions, such as Take Shape (2022) and the Fringe-adapted Double Take, continue to tour nationally and internationally, bringing high-energy, narrative-driven performance to diverse audiences.
