Broken Hands is a UK-based rock band formed in 2006 in Faversham, Kent. Originally known as Onlookers, they released early singles such as Mine (2007) and Canterbury Tales (2009). The group rebranded as Broken Hands and began releasing under AED, with 7" Brother in October 2011 followed by If You Need To Lie (May 2012) and the Down By The Current EP (May 2013). Their debut album, Turbulence, arrived on 9 October 2015 via So Recordings, produced by Tom Dalgety at Rockfield Studios. The band is known for live experimentation, including the Silver Landing Program, and a dynamic blend of rock, indie, psychedelia, and Americana-inflected tones. In 2018, Broken Hands signed with Atlantic Records and released new tracks Friends House and Split In Two. Their second album, Split In Two, was released on 21 August 2020 (Deluxe version later that year).
