People behind the production

Bryan Simpson is a Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and performer renowned for his genre-spanning work across bluegrass, country, indie, and rock. Co-founding Cadillac Sky in 2002, he helped launch a trio that released three acclaimed albums: Blind Man Walking (2007), Gravity's Our Enemy (2008), and Letters in the Deep (2010). After Cadillac Sky, Simpson formed The Whistles & The Bells, self-releasing their debut in 2014 before a Global reissue with New West Records in 2015. The band's sophomore effort, Modern Plagues, arrived in 2017 via New West Records. As a songwriter, Simpson has penned chart-topping hits for major country artists, including Joe Nichols’ “Yeah” (No. 1 on Billboard Country Airplay for three weeks in 2014), Blake Shelton’s “I’ll Just Hold On” (No. 5, 2009) and “A Guy with a Girl” (No. 1, 2016), and Tim McGraw’s “Better Than I Used To Be” (No. 5, 2010). His solo debut, The Oldest, released on April 5, 2024, via Poke the Bear Records, is available on Bandcamp and streaming platforms. Expect more performances and new music as Simpson continues to tour and collaborate.
