Buck Gooter is the hard-hitting, no-nonsense primal industrial blues project that began in 2005 in Harrisonburg, Virginia. What started as a two-person duo—Terry Turtle and Billy Brett—evolved into a raw, prolific sound that mixes blues with industrial textures and inventive sampling. Though Terry Turtle passed away in 2019, Billy Brett has continued Buck Gooter, keeping Turtle’s influence alive through new recordings that weave in Turtle’s samples. The band has drawn praise from underground circles and notable figures, including Henry Rollins, and has been highlighted by Bandcamp Daily for Terry Turtle’s lasting legacy.
