Budweiser Superfest stands as a landmark in R&B and soul performance history. Originating in 1979, the original Budweiser Superfest ran through 1999 before being revived in 2010 as an 18-city tour devoted to showcasing the brightest names in R&B, soul, and neo-soul. The festival concept re-emerged with strong branding and partnerships, delivering high-energy, soulful sets across major venues. In 2011, Budweiser Superfest helped launch Jill Scott’s Summer Block Party, a multi-market showcase that featured guests like Anthony Hamilton and Mint Condition and supported UNCF scholarships. Through the years, the tour has benefited from collaborations with Live Nation and Haymon Events, highlighting a continued commitment to quality performance and artist development.
