Buffalo Bulls Softball represents decades of Bull spirit and competitive play for the University at Buffalo. From its Division III roots in 1979 to reinstitution as an intercollegiate program in 1998 and its first Division I season in 2000, UB softball has grown into a staple of Western New York athletics. Home games are played at Nan Harvey Field on the UB campus, renovated for Division I competition in 2000 and renamed in 2003. In 2025, the program entered a new coaching era with Chelsea Plimpton taking the helm after Mike Ruechel retired in May. On the field, the Bulls continue to build with standout players like Emily Gorman earning MAC All-Freshman Team recognition in 2025.
