BukU FEST emerges from a bold, community-driven vision that blends electronic dance, hip hop, and indie rock with immersive art installations. Founded in 2012 by Winter Circle Productions, Buku Festival quickly became a staple of New Orleans’ cultural calendar, staging at Mardi Gras World across multiple venues such as the Power Plant, Ballroom, and Wharf/Float Den. Although the festival faced disruptions and ultimately announced an indefinite hiatus in 2022, the BukU brand remains a connective hub for fans of genre-blending live experiences, philanthropic partnerships, and innovative performance art.
