The Burlington Footnotes are a cherished performing arts ensemble rooted in Burlington, Ontario. Founded in 1995 by Rosemarie Maurice as The Footnotes at the Burlington Seniors’ Centre, the group has grown into a staple of the city’s cultural landscape. Known for their biannual production Gotta SING, Gotta DANCE!, the Footnotes blend dance styles, song, and lighthearted comedy to celebrate community, creativity, and lifelong performance. In 2019, they were inducted into the BPAC Hall of Fame in recognition of their long-standing contributions to Burlington’s performing arts scene.
