Burnt Sugar The Arkestra Chamber (BSAC) is a trailblazing collective founded in 1999 by Greg Tate and Jared Michael Nickerson. Known for conducting-style improvisation, BSAC reconfigures large ensembles in real time, delivering a high-energy blend of funk, jazz, rock, hip hop, Afro-futurist and avant-garde elements. Described as a territory band and a multiracial jam army, BSAC has earned coverage from Rolling Stone, JazzTimes, and Winter Jazz Fest for their fearless approach to live performance.
