Burton Cummings (born December 31, 1947, in Winnipeg) is a cornerstone of Canadian rock. As the frontman of The Guess Who from 1966 onward, he helped propel the band to international fame with distinctive vocals and magnetic stage presence. After leaving the group, Cummings forged a prolific solo career, delivering enduring hits such as Stand Tall and You Saved My Soul. His contributions to music have earned him prestigious honors, including the Order of Canada, induction into Canada’s Walk of Fame and the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, and multiple JUNO Awards. As he continues to tour through 2025 and 2026, Burton Cummings remains a vital voice in North American rock and pop music.
