Byron Schenkman is a renowned harpsichordist and curator, celebrated for shaping early music programs across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. A pivotal figure in Seattle's classical scene, Schenkman co-founded the Seattle Baroque Orchestra in 1994, serving as artistic director through 2004 and later guiding the ensemble again as co-director from 2010–2013. In 2013, he launched Byron Schenkman & Friends, a chamber-music initiative that evolved into BS&F Recordings in 2017 and rebranded as Sound Salon in 2023. His work blends scholarly insight with engaging, accessible performances, bringing historical repertoire to modern audiences.
