The BYU Cougars Marching Band is a storied musical force known as the Power of the Wasatch. With roughly 225 members—about 175 woodwinds and brass, 25 percussionists, and 30 color guard—the band delivers high-energy performances that showcase precision, versatility, and school pride. The group rehearses intensively, starting with a week-long band camp before the semester and continuing with regular rehearsals three days a week from 4:10–6:00 pm. When it’s time to perform, the band takes the field at LaVell Edwards Stadium for electrifying shows, while BYU venues such as the Music Building Concert Hall host intimate concerts and formal performances.
