The BYU Symphonic Band is a premier 75-member wind ensemble at Brigham Young University, devoted to the performance of major wind-band masterworks from diverse periods, alongside new works by BYU faculty and student composers. Directed by Nate Seamons, Assistant Professor of Instrumental Conducting & Ensembles and Associate Director of Bands, the group balances rigorous artistry with inviting accessibility for fans of orchestral winds. Auditions occur each fall, and the band presents two concerts per semester, giving you multiple chances to secure seats for this favorites-list-staple in Utah County culture.
