Meet Cacie Miller, a dynamic performer and advocate for climate-aware contemporary classical music. With a focus on climate-agnostic and climate-themed works, she creates immersive performances that fuse precision musicianship with environmental storytelling. As founder of Composing the Climate, Cacie champions new chamber works addressing environmental issues, inviting audiences to experience music as a conversation with the planet.

Her work spans solo recitals, intimate chamber ensembles, and collaborative projects with prominent new music organizations. Cacie is a founding member of the Ferrer Miller Duo (piano–cello) and the Helia Trio, and she collaborates with Missing Piece and New Music Chicago to bring innovative repertoire to stages nationwide. In addition to performance, she serves as Director of Music at United Lutheran Church in Oak Park, Illinois, guiding worship and community concerts with a modern, expressive voice.

Educational roots run deep: DMA in Performance and Literature from UIUC, MA in Theory Pedagogy from Eastman, MM in Piano from Houghton University, and BM in Piano from the University of Southern Maine. Her artistry integrates rigorous study with a compassionate, climate-conscious approach to programming and commissioning new works.
