The California Banjo Extravaganza began its journey in 2012, founded by banjo virtuoso Bill Evans. Over the years, the project evolved and in 2021 it rebranded as the California Bluegrass Reunion, continuing to celebrate California-rooted bluegrass with a lineup that showcases some of the state’s most respected players. The group blends traditional bluegrass with fresh, regional storytelling, drawing audiences from across Northern California and beyond.
