Camille Thurman is a pioneering jazz performer known for her fluent blend of vocal storytelling and tenor saxophone. With a career spanning leadership albums, international performances, and collaborations with top jazz ensembles, she stands out for virtuosic technique and emotive interpretation. A trailblazer on the international scene, Thurman became the first woman in decades to tour and record full-time internationally with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (2018–2020). Her work spans rhythm and blues-inflected ballads to modern post-bop explorations, all delivered with a warm, expressive voice and piercing sax lines.
